Module workflow
Each module follows a clearly structured, practice-oriented process inspired by agile methods:
- Joint Sprint Meeting: At the start of each module, we hold a joint (online) meeting, similar to a sprint planning session in agile projects. During this meeting, we review the previous module and discuss the results achieved and lessons learned.
- Goal Definition & Tool Selection: During the same session, we set the goals for the new module, determine the tools to be implemented (primarily FinOps Capabilities by the FinOps Foundation), and jointly define the relevant KPIs.

Who should be involved in sprint planning, and who makes up the project team?
Who should attend the sprint planning meeting, and who makes up the project team?
The project team should be interdisciplinary: Sprint planning meetings typically include representatives from engineering/IT, finance/controlling, and the relevant business units. Leadership and procurement can be brought in as needed, for example, for strategic or procurement-related topics.
This collaboration is central to the FinOps Framework by FinOps Foundation: „Collaboration between engineering, finance, and business teams” is essential for successful cloud cost management.

Which cloud systems can be integrated?
In principle, any cloud system capable of exporting data in the Focus format can be integrated. Currently, this includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud (GCP). Alibaba Cloud is in the preview phase. Oracle Cloud and other providers can be integrated via the FOCUS Converter.
We will, of course, assist you in setting up the data export and ensure that your cloud costs are displayed in the dashboards regardless of the provider.
